Tisvilde has the most beautiful and child-friendly beaches. Tisvilde Hegn, Denmark's fifth largest forest, stretching from Tisvildeleje along the coast to Asserbo plantation, offers many opportunities for cycling, horseback riding and hiking.

Tisvilde beach has a blue flag, which means clean bathing water, lifeguards and first aid equipment. On the beach you can see the charming and historic bathing houses. The small, colorful bathhouses create a very special atmosphere. The bathhouses have been on the beach since the early 1900's and show that the beach has been a popular holiday destination for over 100 years.

Vejby Strand is a beautiful old summer cottage area between Rågeleje and Tisvilde. At 49 meters above sea level, the area is the highest point on the North Zealand coast and is therefore characterized by steep slopes with steps leading down to a narrow beach.

The view of the sea is stunning, and the beautiful hilly landscape offers many great nature experiences, such as Heatherhill, Tibirke Bakker and Tisvilde Hegn.

In the town of Tisvildeleje you will find the cozy main street with cafes, galleries, wonderful shopping and dining experiences all year round. Another option is to visit Rabarbergården in Holløse and enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner. In the summer it's great to stop by Rokkedyssegård and buy the sweetest strawberries and raspberries to take home for dessert on the terrace. We also recommend a trip to Tisvilde Bio.

Keep an eye out for the big events in town and combine your visit to the flea market with a cultural experience, Musik i Lejet, N. P. Wieth Knudsen Observatory, Kildemarked or simply a walk in Troldeskoven.

The distance to Copenhagen is short, and this combined with the beautiful nature, the beautiful beach and the pulse of the small resort town makes it a popular place to visit. We love Tisvilde.
