We have built a holiday home on Kystvej in Vejby, and it is now a place where architecture, light and nature merge.
The house has been built with respect for the beautiful coastal landscape – dark wooden facades with green sedum roofs allow the house to blend naturally into its surroundings, while the large windows open up and create a smooth transition between inside and outside. Inside, the atmosphere is light and airy. The walls and ceilings are kept in white and delicate tones, which reflect the sunlight and give the rooms an open and inviting character. Wooden details – in the floors, kitchen and ceiling beams – add warmth and a natural calm that perfectly suits the modern style. The home offers a beautiful combination of Scandinavian minimalism and summer cottage charm. The kitchen is open and functional, with mint green fronts and light wooden shelves that emphasise the relaxed, summery atmosphere. The living room is furnished with soft furniture in muted earth tones, brightened up with cushions and textiles in delicate pastels and sunny tones such as yellow and pink – a palette that harmonises with the colours of nature outside.
