Rome

Rome, the Eternal City

History, culture, food, wine and, last but not least, joie de vivre. The Romans loved their city, and so do we.

Here, in the cradle of European civilization, many experiences are at your fingertips. Throughout the city, impressive buildings and ruins bear witness to Rome's status as the economic and cultural center of Europe for the past 2,500 years. History comes alive every day as Romans gather in the beautiful squares, shop in the markets, and generally live their lives in the winding streets.

Of course, it's natural to be a tourist in the city and be fascinated by the many sights - St. Peter's Basilica, the Colosseum, and the Foro Romano, to name a few - before being overwhelmed by the desire to eat an ice cream while sitting on the famous Spanish Steps. But there's so much more to the city, and as you get to know it, you'll find your inner Roman awakening, enjoying the quiet moments at the local café or the atmospheric meal at the local trattoria.

Rome is a city that is beautiful by day and by night. When darkness falls and the monuments are illuminated, the city's small, cafe-filled streets become the perfect backdrop for a vibrant nightlife. The city has always attracted great poets, painters and writers, including our own Hans Christian Andersen. Andersen. Wherever you go, you'll see ancient, renaissance and baroque monuments, and the sense of history is palpable.

Italians are the world's biggest spenders on clothes, and in Rome you can't go wrong with a good shopping spree in the city's many fashion boutiques. Whether it's a new pair of trendy sunglasses, a pair of handmade Italian shoes, or a complete wardrobe upgrade, there's something for everyone.

We have purchased and renovated a number of apartments for our groups in Rome. Our focus has always been on locations in one of the attractive areas around the city center. The neighborhood should offer a good life with the opportunity to eat and drink your morning coffee with the locals.

Apartments in Rome can be relatively compact, but we focus on creating well-designed layouts that make the most of every square meter. To the extent that an apartment offers fine old details, we strive to preserve them as we create the transformation into a complete and charming home in true "21-5 Rome style".
