Karen Dyssel Engel

Karen works at 21-5 as part of the Design team.

Karen comes from a life as a self-employed entrepreneur and has had an interior design store in Copenhagen for several years. When the opportunity for a job at 21-5 arose, there was not much doubt that it was time to try something else. Karen loves working with aesthetics and interior design, and in the Design team, her creativity can flourish to the fullest.

Originally trained as a buyer, Karen has a background in the retail industry. Additionally, she has lived in New York, where she fell in love with all the city's fantastic vintage stores and started an online vintage shop. It was a fun and exciting time with many trips to New York and the establishment of a webshop.

When Karen is not at the office at Stakladen, she is out traveling and preparing the homes with her own team and colleagues from other teams.

On a daily basis, Karen lives in Vesterbro with her partner and their two young children, so most weekends are spent at the local playground or at their summer house, where they take care of the house and garden.
